Hi my name is Jo, I work as an independent midwife at Heretaunga Street Midwifery Centre. I have been a midwife since 2002. I have 3 children, all grown up and left home. I am now left with 2 cats and a dog.

Before I was a midwife, I worked as a nurse at Palmerston North Hospital and Aorangi Hospital as a theatre/recovery nurse. I became a midwife because it was something I always have wanted to do and I enjoy meeting new people and bring new life into the world.
